Our Team![]() Raza Bokhari, Managing Partner Dr. Raza Bokhari is the Chairman and CEO of the Fund’s General Partner. Dr. Bokhari has been the Chairman of the Board of Parkway Clinical Laboratories (“PCL”), a full-service clinical diagnostic laboratory, since 2003. In July 2008, PCL completed a merger with Rosetta Genomics (ROSG), a global biotech research and development company. In 2001, he became President and CEO of Lakewood Pathology Associates (“LPA”) (now called PLUS Diagnostics). During his term as the President and CEO until his departure in May 2007, LPA grew ten times in revenue, expanded its client base in more than 25 states. In May 2006, LPA received $50 million equity commitment from a Chicago based private equity venture fund. In 2001, Dr. Bokhari became President and CEO of Lakewood Pathology Associates (“LPA”) (now called PLUS Diagnostics). During his term as the President and CEO until May 2007, LPA grew ten times in revenue and expanded its client base in more than 25 states Dr. Bokhari is Vice Chairman of the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia. In addition, he serves on: the Board of Directors of the Pakistan Human Development Foundation, a not for profit international organization devoted to promote primary education and basic healthcare in rural Pakistan; the Board of Visitors of Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Management (and as Chairman of its Executive Advisory Committee); and the Board of Trustees of the Franklin Institute. He was elected as the National President for the Pakistani American Public Affairs Committee (PAKPAC) for the years 2006-07, which is a national, membership-based not for profit advocacy and public awareness organization. Dr. Bokhari received Philadelphia Business Journal’s “40 under 40” award in 2005. Temple University Fox School of Business and Management nominated him “Entrepreneur in residence” for the academic year 2001-02. In October 2004, Philadelphia Business Journal named PCL as one of the top three, small businesses to work for in the greater Philadelphia area. In June 2005, 2006 and 2007 Philadelphia Business Journal also recognized LPA as one of the 25 fastest growing companies in Southern New Jersey. In 2006 LPA was also included in the Philadelphia 100® fastest growing companies of the region. Dr. Bokhari has a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Punjab, Rawalpindi Medical College, and an Executive MBA from Temple University, Fox School of Business & Management. Previously she was the Director of Business Development at Parkway Clinical Laboratories (PCL), where she delivered client guided customization of PCL services and creative corporate partnerships. Carolyn also simultaneously served as Director of Corporate Development for Rosetta Genomics, a publicly traded Israeli biotech company (ROSG), the parent company of PCL, from July 2008 to May 2009. She started her career in 2006 as a sales executive at Lakewood Pathology (now called PLUS Diagnostics), which is owned and operated by Water Street Healthcare Partners, a Chicago based private equity fund.
